- Send your short story, flash, poetry, article, or artwork to submissions@daedalusreview.com. Make them attachments: written work as .doc or .docx, visual work preferably as .png, .jpg, or .bmp. You’ll hear back if there’s a format issue.
- TYPE OF WORK: The Daedalus Review is looking for, above all else, creativity. We want stuff that’s out there, maybe a little edgy. We can handle it. Engaging with politics and current events is the closest thing we have to a focus, and it will always be looked upon favorably. Choose your medium. Go wild with genres. We’ll even take non-fiction, research or commentary. Just make it creative, make it smart, and be fearless.
- Simultaneous submissions are fine, just say something to that effect in your email.
- Multiple submissions are not accepted, unless it’s poetry, in which case you can send up to three.
- The Daedalus Review publishes on a rolling basis, or basically, whenever we get something we like. Our reading pile will fluctuate, so sometimes you’ll hear back within an hour, sometimes it will take weeks. If it’s been over a month and you haven’t heard anything, send a follow-up.
- You won’t be paid. Sorry.
- If you’re a resident of Arizona, I may require you to prove your immigration status, regardless of your ethnicity or appearance. Unless you look white. Or black. Or Asian.
WELCOME
